Life Changes …I want your answer!

If you have been following my adventures online you know that I am full on in Documentary mode. I have been following around the Film Repo for quite some time, and a few months back it was glaringly apparent that there is a story here that needed to be told. I was admittedly hesitant to get onboard to the extent that I have, but I am very happy to have been on this journey. A journey that has taken me all over the world and back, a few times! The finale to this is going to be at Comic Con on July 25th, and I hope to see you all there.

So as I enter into the editing phase of the process I am struck with a decision…what’s next? We all know that the best time to get a job is when you already have one…so what do “I” do next? Back to one of my many side projects (puppets ,Pirate TV, Screenplay)

Do I maybe get a day job, or do another fandom documentary? I have always wanted to make a “real” movie (who hasn’t?) Or I could even follow Repo on further adventures.

But the more I think on this decision, the more I realize that I real am missing the horror scene. It’s something I still talk about on a daily basis. And a few VERY INTERESTING prospects had come up. So while I weigh in all the options (and feverishly edit away on the Repo documentary) I want to know your opinion. But not so much about me and what to do next, but rather what criteria YOU use to help you decide on the next phase of your life when you see it looking you dead in the face.

Obviously I want to do something I love, and I hope that all of you do the same, BUT what are the criteria to make a big life change? What is most important to you, and why?

Money?
Family?
Power?
Changing the world?
Security?
Social Status?
Love?
Sex?
Career advancement?
Artistic Integrity?
Clout?
Outward Perception?
Appearance?

In the end, it’s always about a combination of these things, but do you let your life decisions fall more into one category than another? And I don’t mean to say that anyone is more important than another, they all have importance, what good is money and power without love and family to share it with. So I challenge you all to look in the mirror and tell me what it is that motivates you. Be honest and open, if your main goal is to get laid, then that’s fine. Just tell me WHY. I may disagree with you or we may see eye to eye, and in the end I hope we all just learn a little more about each other.

First of all I would love to see you at comic con but it is not public mabey you can help me with that…But as to what you are saying you cant always have or get everything you want all the time. When there is other people involved in your life it is about finding a happy medium you can still do the things you love but mabey not to the full extent you may like but still in a happy spot.. I want to get better and you know what I mean and what helps me is looking at the people closest to me and thinking how much better it would make there life and mine and most of the time that gives me what I need. You know your passion and with that passion there are so many roads you can go down and will be easy once you realy look into how you and the people closest to you fit in on what you are doing. You belong in the horror industry no matter what it is and I think some day real soon something is just going to smack you in the face and you will say why did I not think of that sooner..So all in all A HAPPY MEDIUM is what I think…but i am a stoner so it took all that to get to one statement..YOU WILL FIGURE IT OUT AND YOU WILL SUCCEED AT WHATEVER YOU CHOOSE

I feel like I am in exactly the same spot in my life right now…trying to decide what to do, where to go, what is most important to me. So, I have lots of opinions where this is concerned.

Unfortunately, my cast mates want me to load up the cars so we can drive to Chicago and rehearse! So, expect a longer reply soon :D

I’ve been through some major changes over the last few years. Cancer, gastric bypass, and just feeling stuck in a rut when it comes to the day job.

So I know what you are feeling. I’m hoping soon that my writing can be full time. I love doing it, I love the people (hugs the dan). But when you’ve been at the same day job for 10 years you start to realize “Jesus Christ, I’ve been here nearly a third of my life!” Yeah, that’s a scary thought.

Change of any kind is scary but I think I’ve gone through enough I want the next part of the journey to be on my terms. The bypass surgery was my choice, but the 450 blood sugars sort of made that mandatory. But its made my life better by leaps and bounds. I’m a new person.

So, yes change happens, when and when you don’t want it to. The thing is, when its out of your hands, so something for yourself that you CAN control. Change your hair color, get a new tat, or grab life by the balls and do something you’ve always wanted.

That was rambly…sorry.

One day, in a small town, there was a huge flood. The water levels rose so high, and so fast, that many were caught up in it. One man managed to climb to his roof. Being a religious man, he started to pray. He asked God to come save him. Shortly, along came a boat. The driver called out to the man “Hurry, jump on, I’ll bring you somewhere safe!” The man shook his head and said, “No, I’ve asked the Lord to come save me and I have faith that he will.”

Next, came the Coast Guard. A lifesaver was thrown into the water in front of the man. “Here, take hold, we’ll save you!” the officer called out. But, the man didn’t budge saying “No, I’ve asked the Lord to come save me and I have faith that he will.”

Finally, a Helicopter flew overhead. The rope ladder was dropped in front of the man and someone called down, “Grab hold, I’ll pull you to safety.” The man yelled back, “No, I’ve asked the Lord to come save me and I have faith that he will.”

The water levels rose and the man eventually drowned. Upon entering Heaven, the man approached God. “God, I’ve been a loyal and devoted servant. Why couldn’t you come to save me?”

God looked at the man and said, “Jeez, I sent you a boat, the Coast Guard and a helicopter, what more did you want?”

I’m not a religious person, but I use this story to make my decisions when it comes to work. If an opportunity is placed in your lap, grab it, otherwise you just end up drowning in regret.

I think you should look to Jesus and turn your back on a life of sin.
