New friends and ass kissing

Last week Jovanka got an evite to a house party out here in Toronto.
She replied that she and I would be attending….One of the guys at Rue Morgue relied, What the hell… does that guy live here now? At the moment, I kind of do live here ?

Toronto is such a fun place that has a great horror community. While visiting, I attended Rue Morgues amazing Festival of Fear convention, interviewed the director of the Saw V, David Hackl. Was taken to see The Evil Dead Musical, and the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) hasn’t even started yet! It’s a busy and fun time here. The best part is that I am meeting all sorts of amazing people. From The old friends at Rue Morgue to the new people I am meeting at the various events and bar hopping.

• Luke Gallo is a filmmaker who just finished his latest short film. I get to see it tomorrow!
• Ankixa is my new pal who keeps letting me hang out at her pad. (you should see the pile of empty red bulls I leave for her!)
• Mandi has one of the nicest families and group of friends, she and her boyfriend Martin are horror lovers who really have there hearts rooted in artistry, and generosity.
• Justin is my dreadlocked friend from the magazine, who gets all the chiks.
• DJ Shannon knows how to rock the club (All the clubs, since she DJs at like 10 of them)
• DJ Martin knows how to play a mean game of pool
• Shane is the insane singer of the band Redeemer.. check them out at youtube. Seriously amazing!

Now I have to say a humongous thank you to my three woman who really are my life blood to make me feel at home while I am here. Jovanka, Liisa, and Andra. These three have made this trip about as fun as it could possibly be! You all rock!

Later this week is when things get serious at TIFF aka Toronto International Film Festival. Rumor has it that it’s next to impossible to get tickets for stuff, and that the whole city adjusts for the festival visit. I can’t wait to be a part of it!

Take off eh!
